Gift Aid treatment

Most established Pentecostal and evangelical denominations operate as registered charities and Gift Aid applies. The categorisation matters: tithe and offering are donation (Gift Aid eligible); building-fund pledges are donation (eligible); event tickets, conference fees and book or CD sales at the merchandise table are commercial sale (not eligible). Keep the kiosk flow tagged so the Gift Aid claim cleanly excludes commercial-sale lines.

Cash offering remains widely used; envelope-based first-fruits and tithe envelopes are still common across UK Black-majority Pentecostal churches. Contactless captures the donation that would otherwise have walked past, especially from younger congregants.
