Accessibility statement
MerchantHQ helps UK business owners compare card machines, payment terminals and merchant accounts. We want the site to be easy to read and use for everyone, whether you run a market stall, a salon or a multi-site retailer. This page explains how the site is built to be accessible and how to tell us if something is hard to use. Last reviewed 2026-06-16.
Features to help you
- Search. A search box sits in the header on every page, with a full search page and a site index listing every page, so you can find a terminal, fee or guide quickly.
- Plain English. We avoid jargon and explain terms where we use them. There is a card-payment glossary covering interchange, chargebacks, SCA and more.
- Readable design. Clear type, strong contrast, generous spacing and plain headings, with no pop-ups or auto-playing media getting in your way.
- Keyboard and screen readers. Pages use proper headings, landmarks and labels so they work with keyboard navigation and screen readers.
Our aim
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standard. We are not perfect, and we keep working to improve.
